Housing needs have changed dramatically over the past 10 years. People value their time more today than ever before. As we get older, things that were once important 20 years ago in our lives, now hold no value. However, we all want our independence!

Today's real estate market offers this independence in several forms.

There are Free Standing Condominiums that offer the privacy of a single home not attached to another unit. Each home has a small yard. There is a monthly condo fee to maintain the exterior and upkeep of common grounds.  There are communities that offer just lawn maintenance, the exterior of the home is the home owner's responsibility.

The Traditional Condominium come in many styles and floor plans. Usually, there are 4 units attached. With today's insulation, floor plans and fire wall factors, noise level from other units is not an issue for most condo owners.

There are several styles and floor plans that make our lives so much easier. From the ranch style, one floor plan to the cape cod plan with a first floor master bedroom and bath. The second floor features one or two guest bedrooms and private bath. The cape cod (one and a half story) home normally offers more square footage for the dollar.

The new styles of today have so many options. The choices are endless, one, two or three car attached garages, full or partial basements, extra wide hallways, handicapped accessible units and things as simple as higher sinks and commodes are a real plus.

Care free living allows you to forget about all the exterior maintenance and go on vacation anytime you wish without worries. Because someone else is responsible to make sure the grass is mowed or the snow on the sidewalk is shoveled. Never worry about a leaky roof again. Of course you are responsible for the interior maintenance.
